A full 40 years after the very first Earth Day event there is still much to work on to make our planet a better place to live.
NOAA announced this month that "The world’s combined global land and ocean surface temperature made last month the warmest March on record."

Today is a day to get out, enjoy the outdoors, and celebrate Earth Day!
Some Earth Day events around the area: Lincoln Park Zoo is holding a Wine and Wildlife event as well as The 6th Annual Lincoln Park Zoo Science Celebration Chicago Botanic Gardens have zillions of beautiful flowers in bloom. A great sight to see on Earth Day. Visit Morton Arboretum where this weekend (April 24-25) you'll be able to make Earth Day necklaces as well as enjoy the "Sustainable with Style"-Green Boutique & Garden Expo.
